Southcrest Christian School's Kindergarten program seeks to provide a foundation to help children grow into life-long learners. Our program offers developmentally appropriate academics and opportunities for social and spiritual growth.

Our academic program includes: Bible; Handwriting, Phonics, Creative Writing, Reading, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Art, and various literacy activities.

All Kindergarten students participate in Structure of Intellect Certified Learning. This is a research-based curriculum that trains all intellectual abilities - cognitive, memory, evaluation, and problem solving. Kindergarten special classes are: Spanish, Music, Computer, and Physical Education.

Our Kindergarteners enjoy many special activities during the school year, including: field trips, dress-up days, a 100th Day of School celebration, class parties, special activities for holidays, Show and Tell, and Star of the Week.

Students also have the opportunity to work together in small groups, read with students from other
grade levels, and participate in age appropriate community service activities.

Biblical Truths and spiritual application are woven into each part of Kindergarten's day. Every child is given the opportunity to know and love God. Bible lessons are interactive and students have many opportunities to pray and praise the Lord each day. Our weekly campus-wide Chapel includes praise and worship and spiritual application lessons.

Kindergarten at Southcrest is a memorable journey that gives each child the chance to grow socially, spiritually, and academically.
